?? Dude they're the democrats not the soviets. calm down, you live in a nation in which the only way for democracy to fall is foriegn invasion. WHICH CaN"T HAPPEN FOR A FEW DECADES. Seriously, calm down. Im Australian, the leader of my nation didn't get voted in and is only in power because she backstabbed her way to the top. my nation treats refugees worse than its criminals and it still has laws in some areas that restrict people of certain ethnicities obtaining pornography or alcohol. Our military doesn't allow women to serve in any combatant force. The two major parties are both stagnated and despised by a great amount of people who only vote for them because its either them or environmentalists who want to literally demilitarize the military (which is already incompetently small) when we live directly south from a militaristic unstable large country who we have had combat/disputes with (Indonesia).
Because you're only 15 I'm willing to cut you some slack, but you couldn't be more wrong saying “ you live in a nation in which the only way for democracy to fall is foreign invasion”. No nation on earth is safe from internal destructive forces, just look at history. The U.S. is no exception. Ever heard of our civil war? It could have easily resulted in the end of us, by the grace of God it didn't.
To specifically address the above artwork, once you understand that the default nature of government (any government) is to grow in size and power, and that governments gain power by taking liberties away from citizens, you'll realize the error in your statement.
America has a large population of patriotic people who would die for democracy. im guessing if you went out on a crowded street in america and yelled out that the country is a piece of shit, you would lose teeth. whereas in Australia you could do it for hours and probably have people only ignoring or agreeing with you in most areas. America has a large population of gun-owners, you have militias. you've practically got a resistance movement planned. And also, exactly what liberties has the government taken away?
Since the rise of the progressive movement 120 years ago, our liberties have been under constant assault. We are losing property rights through government regulations and taxation, our right to bear arms has been restricted and efforts to further restrict continue, our economic freedom has been restricted so drastic that we only longer have a true free market. ...just to name a few.
